“I celebrated father’s day with Dad this morning. Like him, I don’t splurge like this for myself. But for him? Following a year in which we surrounded him as he told cancer “naw, maybe later” I thought, hell yeah we’ve doing… something. My first thought was a hot air balloon, then I got lower and faster. So we booted around the Okanagan in a Porsche Carrera. We punched it a bit. We toured. Dad told a few of his car stories from years past. We giggled every time the engine growled. We’re still laughing at some guys from Beaverdell who gave us the stink eye and the car a loooong walk around. We lived in sport mode, and I once turned the traction control off (but just once, I’m not INSANE!) We called my brother just so he could hear the fabulous noise. Much thanks to August Motor Cars for leading me to Okgnrentals where Jeremy took great care of us.”
